I am delighted to welcome you to Altrincham Preparatory School. It is a privilege to be the Headmaster of such a wonderful and vibrant school.

At APS we pride ourselves on our excellent academic outcomes and whilst our results speak for themselves, we also aim to provide an educational experience that is unparalleled in terms of its breadth, depth and quality, with opportunities to excel both inside and outside of the classroom along with focused pastoral care to ensure our boys flourish at school.

We have high aspirations for all our boys who are encouraged to take risks and not be fearful of making mistakes on their way to success. We aim to provide a dynamic, exciting and modern education for our pupils, stimulating their curiosities and nurturing their enthusiasm in a progressive, inspiring learning environment.

APS is a non-selective school and we welcome boys of a range of abilities from as young as 2 years old in our Nursery through to 11 year olds in Year 6. Our class sizes enable our boys to receive the support they deserve. From the moment your son joins us we will get to know him as an individual and foster his development so that he can reach and exceed his potential. The boys’ academic success is built around the breadth of opportunities they gain both inside and outside the classroom. They will have the opportunity to learn new skills, discover and develop new talents whilst also enjoying time with their friends. This, combined with excellent teaching and support, results in consistently excellent outcomes ensuring that every boy reaches age 11 ready for a lifetime of discovery and prepared to join the senior school that is just right for him.
