St Helen’s World of Glass
On Wednesday 11th February, Year 3 headed to St. Helens to visit the World of
Glass as part of our Science topic on materials. The boys did a great job of
collecting different materials to produce a collage for homework.
At the museum we explored the properties of
glass and we learned about some of the history of
glass making. We also enjoyed painting our own
glasses, which we were able to take home. After
a 3D video and a glass blowing exhibition, Zaid
was given the opportunity to blow his own glass
In the Science Suite
Volcanoes erupted as Year 3 entered
the new Science suite to explore how
igneous rocks were formed. We have
used hand lenses to examine rock
more closely.
