Year 5 enjoyed the visit from author Tom Palmer
this term. He gave a very interesting talk informing
them of what it is like to be an author and
completed a question and answer session before
setting quiz questions to get the chance to score a
conversion!
Religious Education
Year 5 recently enjoyed the Islam Workshop in
school where they learnt all about the faith. The boys
watched a presentation, completed a quiz and took
part in a challenge to make a mosque using balloons.
Many thanks to Mrs Albi for providing the boys with a
fantastic experience.
In mathematics, more boys have continued
to enjoy the mathletics programme with many
obtaining an incredibly high placing both in the UK and world-
wide. Well done to Hywel (1st in UK), Sid (3rd in the world)
and Seb B (9th in the world). Fantastic achievements!
As part of their ratio and proportion homework, Year 5 were
given the challenge of completing questions based upon the
recipes for a hedgehog and chocolate calculator cake. As you
can see James and Edward went that extra mile and used the
recipes to bake their own cakes ! A fantastic effort boys and
fabulous cakes!
