This term in French, Year 3 have been revising the present tense of the verbs
“avoir”
(to have) and
“être”
(to be). They have been using these two verbs to describe people and to talk about their
nationality. On World Book Day, the boys enjoyed a story in French about Trotro the donkey on a visit
to Paris. Trotro visited The Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa. As a class activity, 3J and 3R made their own
versions of the Mona Lisa on the Smart Board. (However, neither Leonardo da Vinci nor Mrs Woodage
would be too impressed by the artwork!) The boys brainstormed the French they had been revising to
describe their pictures. 3R’s picture even has a Red Nose Day touch!
